The site of use of the tourniquet

There are only two parts that need to use a tourniquet: the forearm (just under the armpit) and the upper part of the thigh. Choose a tape that is at least 5 cm (2 inches) wide and is used as a hemostasis. If you are forced to use a narrower line (wire or rope), you must fold the multi-layered fabric to reduce discomfort and avoid damage to nerves or muscles.

When hemostasis, the tourniquet is wrapped around the limbs for 3 turns, tied into a half knot, and a lightweight short stick is placed on the knot, which is then tied into a double knot. The tourniquet must be tightened until the bleeding stops.

When hemostasis, the tourniquet must be tied tight enough to stop the blood supply, but it should be loosened at intervals. The above method of strapping can be easily released.

After the blood vessels are ligated, the tourniquet should be completely removed.
