One of our most popular item is arterial tourniquet.
Here we'd like to introduce when to use an arterial tourniquet.
Arterial tourniquets should only be used for:
1.severe,life-threatening external bleeding to a limb(extremity).For example:
a.amputated or partially amputated limb above the wrist or ankle
b.shark attack, propeller cuts or similar major trauma to a limb(extremity)
c.bleeding with signs of shock;pale and sweaty plus pulse rate >100,or capillary refill>2 sec and/or decreased level of consciousness
d.bleeding on a limb(extremity) not controlled by firm, direct and sustained pressure.
2.multiple casualties with external bleeding to limbs, and a lack of resources to apply firm, direct and sustained pressure.
